Luis Gerardo LoGar is a filmmaker based in Mexico City.
He has written and directed the short films 'Cassette Sandía’, ‘CLAUN’, '¡Pinche Teporocho!’, and 'ANDY-O,' and co-wrote and produced the short film 'Boca Punk.' His work has been screened at festivals such as Cinequest, BFI Future, London Short Film, San Diego Latino, Shorts México, among others.
Among his achievements is winning the Special Mention for International Short Film at the BFI Future Film Festival 2021 with his short '¡Pinche Teporocho!’. His short film 'CLAUN' has over 600K views on YouTube, placing it among the top 5 most-viewed Mexican shorts in history.
He was selected as part of the 20 up and coming latino filmmakers of the Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today program in 2023. The program was part of the Hola Mexico Film Festival in LA.
His next project is a feature film called "MAN CHILD." which won the First Prize Award in the MAFICI LAB 2020 in Argentina for best Latin American feature film in development.
He was selected in the distribution lab "CONECTA" by Retina Latina and UNESCO for up-and-coming filmmakers of Latin America. It took place during the Bogotá Audiovisual Market (BAM).
